(in 48 Km.) Chamonix: The Mont-Blanc down to this village in form of the Glacier des Bossons and the sea ice, 7 Km. in length. You can visit the Alpine museum.

(in 10 Km.) Mont-Blanc: With the cablecar of the Aiguille du Midi (3.842m.) you can climbs toward the Mont-Blanc. From above, you can take a cable car that overflies the giant glacier of the vallée Blanche and get to the pointe Helbronner (3.452m.), the frontier station from where you can download to the Italian town of Courmayeur and return to Chamonix through the Mont Blanc tunnel.

The Mont Blanc is the climax and a flagship summit of the Alps and one of the world´s most famous peaks. It has a official high of 4810.9 meters, and is the highest in Western Europe. His name is Monte Bianco in Italy. In the mountains there are a quite number of glaciers and from the peak of Mont Blanc down some very importants: Brenva, Miage and Bruillard toward the southern slope and Bionnassay, Taconnaz and especially that of the Bossons on the north face.

Chamonix´s skiing extends over 3 main areas : Brévent/Flégère, offering south-facing slopes and exceptional views of the Mont-Blanc chain, the Grands Montets, high altitude north-facing slopes which dominate the village of Argentière and the Balme area, wide open slopes at the top of the Chamonix valley, bordering on Switzerland. The sister resort of les Houches lies at the opposite end of the valley and is accessible with the Mont-Blanc Unlimited ski pass.
