Day 4 Brussels - Charleroi - Barcelona (50 Km.)

Belgium

Brussels: The old town can be accessed easily by foot or by bicycle. The main shopping streets are located in this part of town. Emphasizes the Grote Markt or Grand Place, which is considered one of the most beautiful squares in the world. The Town Hall and the King´s house is the most outstanding buildings, but the first was the only remaining intact after the French bombardment of 1695. The reconstruction of the square was made so that today it still retains a fascinating harmony.

The Town Hall is considered one of the most beautiful buildings in the city, and hosts countless memories of this metropolis. In the King´s house is located the Museum of the City of Brussels, whose most precious objects are some paintings of Breughel and the rich wardrobe of Manneken Pis.

Another attraction of the square, more gourmand, is the Godiva store, which manufactures luxury chocolates and between their clients are included the Belgian royal family and us. The Manneken Pis is located just behind the Town Hall, where the most famous citizen of the city has always been doing piss since 1691. It is located at the place where a few centuries ago that the chubby child extinguished a fire when urinating.
