Day 6 (1) Valley Of The Kings
In the city of Luxor, we discover the ancient city of Thebes. A magnificent monumental architecture very well preserved opens our eyes and makes Luxor the most visited destination in Egypt. For centuries, tourists have walked around the temples of Luxor and Karnak, and between the funeral monuments dedicated to Hatshepsut and Ramses II.

Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens: The Valley of the Kings and of the Queens, is also a stop-off in the province of Luxor. In the first valley, the underground tombs are visitable in theirs majority. Before arriving in these valleys we can see the vestiges of the ancient temple of Amenhotep III, the giants of Memnon. The giants were the entrance to an ancient temple, which is no longer anything. And it was rebuilt from the ruins that were lying on the floor. His appearance is something Tetric, but impressed.

The Valley of the Kings is traversed by the hill tebana and their entrails were housed in the 62 numbered tombs of the kings of the New Kingdom (Dynasties XVIII, XIX, XX). It´s numbering was completed by Howard Carter, who also added the final burial found in the Valley, the number 62 that belongs Tut-Anj-Amon. It is advisable the tomb of Seti I. The place was regarded as "magical" by the ancient Egyptians, as the valley is chaired by a hill with a perfect pyramidal shape. Below the tomb of Seti I was found by chance the tomb of Tutankhamun, one of the few that were untouched by looters. All its treasures are found in the museum of Pharaonic art from Cairo.

It seems that when making movements of land to search for tombs caused Tutankhamon´s tomb was fully covered. And it was in 1922 when workers at the orders of Howard Carter discovered in the hut where they overnight stays issuing the track that would lead them to the meeting of the only intact tomb, with the royal seals intact on the doors and filled with treasures of inestimable value, belonging to the New Empire. Tutankhamon´s tomb was number 62, the last of the discovery.

Valley Of The Queens - Temple of Hatshepsut
On the Valley Of The Queens we will find the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, dedicated to the goddess Hathor. The place is actually called the Temple of Al-Deir Al Bahari and his contemplation and wonder where it is located. The temple is carved into the rock, and inside it are paintings of great wealth and color, representing scenes of divine birth and the coronation of Hatshepsut.
